Voice of the north

Anabioz

Band/Artist: Anabioz

Album: ...To Light

Our ship moved to the North
There the ice sparkles at sun
There severe frost is even in summer.
Twinkling stars looked at us
From the sky
And furious wind inflated our sails.

We wished to reach
To the very world's end
We wished to subdue
This land of ice.
But with the roar of cold wind
The voice has reached us,
And waves foamed,
And ice-floes started to dance.

"Long time I saw nobody
Under this cold sun!
What do you need here?
This is my land.
I can break your masts
And sink your ship
I can crush you
With big ice-floe.
I rules by all winds,
By waves, by severe frost
Return back, before your ship
Will break by storm.
Here is nothing for you,
Here is nobody
It's only my kingdom
And my lands are deserted!

Or you'll stay with me at my ice palaces?
And North wind will sing for you.
Till it will be too late to return back
Before you'll die in my cold embrace!"

We listened to a cold voice,
And our blood frozen in veins.
We saw the fearsome face
Shrouded by snowy veil.
And clouds curled behind it,
And the sky had darkened.
And our hearts gave a shudder
In the face of this violent force.

And we have turned back, we couldn't more further
There is black water under blocks of blue ice.
Severe frost is there, at world's end.
And She lives there, in palace of ice.
