BTS (first Bangtan Boys, from 2017 Beyond The Scene) - South Korean boyband, formed in 2013 by Big Hit Entertainment. The team consists of seven participants: RM (leader), Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jung Kook. In July 2017, the group changed the official logo and titles deciphering in English, whereby they became Beyond The Scene.
BTS received worldwide recognition after the release of the second studio album Wings, which was considered the most successful in their careers until January 2018 (the record for sales was broken by the mini album Love Yourself: Her, released in September 2017). It allowed the band to win the nomination "Artist of the Year" at the prestigious Mnet Asian Music Awards.
In 2017, BTS became one of the leading Korean bands on the world music scene: they won the Best Social Networking Artist nomination at the Billboard Music Awards, their mini album Love Yourself: Her reached number 7 on the Billboard 200 in the American album chart, what was the highest result among all Korean artists who ever hit this chart. The DNA and MIC Drop singles received gold certifications from the RIAA, which also made BTS the first Korean artist in history to have such certification. Since its debut, BTS has sold more than 5 million of its records worldwide.
