Aloe Blacc, (Egbert Nathaniel Dawkins III) is an American soul singer and musician. As part of Emanon band in the period from 1999 to 2002, he has released five artworks.
Later, in 2005, the group released the album Shaman Works, entitled The Waiting Room , and next comes his debut solo album Shine Through on Stones Throw Records. The album combines neo-soul, r'n'b, Latin music and hip-hop.
After the release of the Aloe solo album, the group disintegrates indefinitely.
In 2009, he released a joint album with the Japanese beatmaker Cradle, and the song “I Need a Dollar” falls on the soundtrack of the series “How to make it in America”. Together with the show, the song becomes famous, and the album of 2010 receives considerable attention.
He then collaborates with a lot of musicians and DJs.
