Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi is an American hip-hop artist and actor from Cleveland, acting under the pseudonym KiD CuDi. He became widely known after his first mixtape - A Kid Named Cudi. This release has caught the attention of Kanye West, who subsequently signed CuDi to his label GOOD Music. He then left West's label to form his own one - Wicked Awesome Records.
In 2008, he published first single, Day'n'Nite, which burst into fifth place on the Billboard charts, and a year later he released first studio album, Man on the Moon: The End of Day, which later won the RIAA Gold Certification.
In 2010, he and his friend Dot da Genius created an alternative rock band, WZRD, releasing the only self-titled album,which debuted at the top of the US Billboard Rock Albums and US Billboard Alternative Albums charts.
In 2013, he released third studio album, Indicud, which became one of his most successful albums. In 2014, he suddenly published fourth album Satellite Flight: The Journey to Mother Moon.
KiD CuDi has sold over 5 million digital singles. Throughout his musical career, he has worked with such performers, like Jay Z, David Guetta, Shakira, Snoop Dogg, Michael Bolton, Travis Scott, Pharrell Williams, Kanye West and many others. Thanks to the emotions and creativity that he conveys in his songs, KuDi has gained a multi-million fan base around the world.
