George Michael, real name Georgios Kyriacos Panayiotou, is a British singer, poet and composer of Greek origin.
During his musical career (solo and as part of the duo Wham!) he allways keeps the primary role - that makes him one of the most successful MTV generation media icons and is one of the best-selling musical artist of all time with over 120 million records that was sold worldwide.
Winner of two Grammy Awards - in the categories "Album of the Year" with the "Faith" album in 1988 and for the "Best R&B duet" with Aretha Franklin for the song "I Knew You Were Waiting (For Me)" in 1987.
