N.W.A. (Niggaz Wit Attitudes) is an American hip hop group from Compton, California, which many consider one of the founders of the gangsta rap subgenre.
This group existed from 1986 to 1991, and caused a large number of disputes in connection with the frank nature of their texts. Subsequently, the group was banned on many radio stations in major US and sometimes even banned their tour, but still the band has sold to date, about 30 million copies of his albums in the US alone. Their first album, Straight Outta Compton, marked the beginning of a new era of gangsta rap, as their creativity and raise social issues were revolutionary within the genre. Rolling Stone put the NWA 83 in their list of "One Hundred best artists of all time."
